Introduction to Nursery

Hello everyone!

We warmly welcome you to visit Nursery if you would like a 'sneak peek' of what we do and also have several Open Evenings during the year. If you cant wait that long, here is a little video of some of the things we offer. The video can also help children to know what to expect on their first day.

  • Once the children start school, Mrs Bell will introduce you to the app 'ClassDojo' - she will give you a username and password and you will then have a hotline to her!
  • Mrs Bell and Ms Lambert will normally come and meet you and your child at home before the children start Nursery. If this isnt convenient we can always give a you a telephone call to discuss your child, their interests and needs and most importantly put your mind at rest that they will be in safe hands.
  • We have packs of forms for you to collect to register your interest in Nursery - please come to the school office any day between 9.00am and 3.00pm to collect yours.
  • When your child is about to start, we will proide you with a 'starting pack' of forms. There is a covering letter with the forms, which explains exactly what you need to do with them - some need to be completed and returned to school, and some are for you to keep. Please call Mrs Brook, Mrs Townley or Mrs Wilkins at the office, on any weekday, if you have any questions or queries, on 015395 62344 smiley

Stay and Play

We offer Stay and Play sessions throughout the year in the second half of each term. These take place on a Monday from 1.30-2.30pm and are for children aged 2years and above. The sessions give children and parents a chance to become familiar with the Nursery environment, chat to the staff and get a feeling of the things we offer. We have found that the children who regularly attend Stay and Play sessions have settled into Nursery so quickly when they have turned 3 and are always really excited to start.
